This walking tour starts downtown, then heads toward the waterfront with stops to learn about the creation of our 100-year-old waterfront park system, the City's first million dollar hotel, the million dollar pier, and other stories about St. Pete’s booming 1920s.  The tour then proceeds into the historic Old Northeast neighborhood and ends at the Vinoy Hotel. 

Find out how sea vamps, sunshine, and sports made St. Pete one of the country's premiere tourist destinations in the 1920s.  Learn about the varied architectural styles found in the  Old Northeast, including a stop inside one of the restored homes.  And explore the fabulous Vinoy Hotel, where you might decide to enjoy a drink on the verandah or to return downtown aboard the Looper trolley .

The tour is free for SPP members and $5  donation for non-members is requested.  Memberships are available at the beginning of the tour ($20 individual, $30 family) and include free walking tours through the end of the year.  Information, SPP t-shirts and Centennial posters and notecards will be available and for sale at the start of the tour.
