Allendale Porch Party

SPP has found another great historic home with generous owners (Greg & Keith) willing to open their doors for a porch party! Their home, fully restored and wonderfully decorated inside and out, has a long history. In 1922, Cade Allen purchased the property  and moved his family into the home as he began construction of distinctive homes that would later form the neighborhood known as Allendale and Allendale Terrace. By the 1950's Allen and his sons had  built nearly 40 homes in the area. The Cade Allen homes were known for their quality of construction and stone that Allen had shipped in by rail from Georgia, North Carolina and Tennessee.
