St. Petersburg Preservation is not quite historic but we are 40 years old! Join us as we celebrate four decades of working to preserve the 'Burg. The celebration will be a look back at some of SPP's most significant accomplishments and a look forward to what is next for keeping St. Petersburg Special. And in looking forward, the evening will culminate with the unveiling of SPP's new look & brand!
Join us for this special celebration will be some of the 'Burg's special people, offering recollections from the past to make this an evening to remember! SPP is excited to celebrate our 40th with Natalie Pruitt Judge of the J. Crayton Pruitt Foundation; Principal of MESH Architecture Tim Clemmons, John Hope Franklin Professor of Southern History at USFSP Ray Arsenault and Attorney and St. Petersburg Community Planning & Preservation Commissioner Keisha Bell.
The celebration takes place at NOVA 535, a historic commercial building renovated into a special event space. There will be hors d'oeuvres, live music, a cash bar for your enjoyment and plenty of SPP stories! The evening will finish with SPP award winner and Council Member Darden Rice looking forward to what is next for preservation in the 'Burg. She will help to unveil SPP's new brand as a nod to our group's next 40 years!
