Recounting William Harvard's Legacy

Saturday, March 14, 2026, 4 PM

As part of Tampa Bay Design Week, join us for William Harvard and His Legacy, a special community lecture at the Barack Obama Public Library on Saturday, March 14 at 4 p.m. William Harvard’s architectural imprint helped shape St. Petersburg, with signature designs including Pasadena Community Church, the St. Petersburg Pier, and the Williams Park Bandshell, and the President Barack Obama Main Library, where the talk will be held — part of the City's mid-century architectural history that, unfortunately, is rapidly disappearing.

Presented by Billy Harvard, William Harvard’s grandson, we'll explore Harvard’s life, work, and lasting influence on the built environment.

The program is free and open to the public, and is presented by the Center for Architecture and Design Tampa Bay and Preserve the ’Burg.
